Look soon for news about my trip to Karen Kingsbury's site that she used for all of her books. I am up to date on reading her wonderful fiction found in our church library as well as on internet and local bookstores. The stories are set in Bloomington, Indiana at the university there.
The Baxter lake is in the town, the nursing home mentioned in her books as well as the fire station and other sites are some of the interesting places that I will be seeing. She is giving a concert the first night which will include a talk from her, her children singing and a short play from the local theater group.
I will be there with a special friend that I met on the Karen Kingsbury Face book site. She was originally going to set up a blog so I could picture myself there but my wonderful best friend and husband is taking me on a leisure trip to the site where I will experience the world of Karen Kingsbury books and meet my new friend.
My hope and plan is to continue this blog as a site where you may visit from time to time and see what books I have discovered in our library that might interest you. You are never too old or too young to explore our library. I will be sharing books and thoughts from a reader, a teacher's background as well as an intentional follower of Christ. You will never have to worry if the books I suggest will be ones that will enhance your Christian growth in some way.
